Thanks for the Buff (TFTB)

Automatically thank players who buff you with emotes, whispers, and chat notifications, from open-world buffs to teammate cooldowns like Power Infusion and Innervate. Get alerts for feasts, portals, and same-class cooldowns too.

TL;DR: Never miss a buff, cooldown, or free utility again. Automatically thank the player who helped you, and get a heads-up when someone drops something useful for the group.

Features

🙌 Every Buff Gets a Thank-You // Emote and whisper the stranger who buffs you in passing or the teammate who burns a cooldown on you, with cooldowns and a delay so it never turns into spam.

📣 Send Good News // Whisper the players you buff to tell them what they got and how long it lasts, in your own words. Perfect for Power Infusion, a clutch Innervate, or a soulstone before the pull.

🚂 Feel Peer Pressure // Get pinged the moment another player of your class pops a cooldown, so you can stack yours on top.

🍖 Service Alerts // Get a heads-up the moment someone sets out a feast, drops a soulwell, opens a portal, or puts down a repair bot for the group.

🙏 Thank You Buttons // Up to five one-click macros that emote at your target and whisper them a message you wrote: thank the healer, ask a mage for water, or heckle a guildie.

Setup

1. Install the add-on, ideally using CurseForge or Wago.
2. Log in. Sensible defaults are already on, so a teammate's buffs start printing to your chat right away.
3. Type /tftb to choose how you react to each kind of buff, whether that's a chat note, a whisper, an emote, a sound, or any mix, and pick which emotes to use.
4. Out in the world, strangers' buffs get an automatic emote. Tune the cooldowns, the minimum buff duration, and an optional delay so it stays classy.
5. On the Thank You Button tab, switch on the - Thank macro and drag it to your action bar to thank your target on demand.
6. "Manners maketh the raid."

How It Works

Options

Type /tftb to open the options panel, or find it under Options > AddOns > Thanks for the Buff (TFTB). Every buff tab splits the same way: Praise Messages & Emotes is what the player who helped you sees, and Notifications is the chat note and sound only you get.

• Stranger Buffs // Buffs from players outside your group. A praise cooldown, a same-player cooldown, a minimum buff duration, and an optional delay keep a wave of world buffs from turning into spam.
• Teammate Buffs // The buffs and cooldowns your party and raid cast on you, with a checkbox per ability.
• Service Alerts // Feasts, refreshment tables, soulwells, portals, summons, resistance cauldrons, repair bots, and more.
• Send Good News // Whispers for the buffs you cast on other players, either anyone you buff or group members only. Write your own message and see a live preview of it.
• Peer Pressure // A chat alert and a sound when another player of your class uses a cooldown, with an option to fire on your own casts too.
• Thank You Button // Five independent buttons, each with its own macro, whisper message, and emote.
• Profiles // Copy one character's setup onto another, or reset one back to defaults.

Emotes are held back while you are in combat, and thank-you whispers are throttled per player, so a friend who rebuffs you five times still only hears from you once.

Only the abilities your client actually has show up in the options panel, so you never get a checkbox for something that doesn't exist in your game yet. Peer Pressure keeps its own, much longer list of class cooldowns on its own tab.
