🔎 What is WoW Translator?
WoW Translator is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that translates chat messages in real time, directly inside your chat window — no alt-tabbing, no copy-pasting into a browser, no interruptions to your gameplay.
Playing on an EU realm full of French, German and Spanish speakers? Joining an international guild? Pugging Mythic+ with players from three different countries? WoW Translator removes the language barrier so you can focus on the pull, not on the translation.
Unlike generic translators, this addon was built specifically for World of Warcraft players. It recognizes MMO slang, raid terminology, trade abbreviations and everyday in-game expressions — the kind of shorthand that machine translators usually turn into nonsense.

📥 Installation
- Install with the CurseForge App (recommended — keeps the addon updated automatically and installs it into the right client), or download the ZIP manually.
- If installing by hand, extract the folder into your game's AddOns directory:
World of Warcraft/<version>/Interface/AddOns/— for example_retail_,_classic_era_or_classic_. - Launch the game and make sure WoW Translator is enabled in the AddOns list.
- Type
/wt configin chat to choose your language and adjust settings. - That's it — start reading every message in your own language.

❓ FAQ
Does it translate my own messages too?
The addon focuses on translating incoming chat so you can understand what others are saying. Check /wt config for the available options.
Will it spam my chat? No. Translations are integrated cleanly into the chat window and designed to stay readable during raids and busy world channels.
Does it affect performance? The addon is built to be lightweight and non-intrusive, with no noticeable impact on FPS.
Translations aren't showing up.
Make sure translations are enabled with /wt on, then run /wt test to confirm everything works. If the issue persists, please report it in the Issues section.
I found a bad translation, or my language is missing. Feedback is very welcome — leave a comment or open an issue with the original message and the expected translation.

¿Juegas en un reino EU lleno de franceses, alemanes e ingleses? ¿Estás en una hermandad internacional? ¿Haces Mítica+ con gente de tres países distintos? WoW Translator elimina la barrera del idioma para que te centres en el pull, no en la traducción.
A diferencia de un traductor genérico, este addon está diseñado específicamente para jugadores de WoW: reconoce jerga MMO, terminología de bandas, abreviaturas de comercio y expresiones habituales del juego, ese tipo de atajos que los traductores automáticos suelen convertir en un sinsentido.

📥 Instalación
- Instálalo con la app de CurseForge (recomendado: se actualiza solo y lo coloca en el cliente correcto) o descarga el ZIP manualmente.

- Escribe

❓ Preguntas frecuentes
¿También traduce mis propios mensajes?
El addon se centra en traducir el chat entrante para que entiendas lo que dicen los demás. Revisa /wt config para ver las opciones disponibles.
¿Va a llenarme el chat de spam? No. Las traducciones se integran de forma limpia en la ventana de chat y están pensadas para seguir siendo legibles en plena banda o en canales muy activos.
¿Afecta al rendimiento? Está diseñado para ser ligero y no intrusivo, sin impacto apreciable en los FPS.
No me aparecen las traducciones.
Comprueba que están activadas con /wt on y ejecuta /wt test para verificar el funcionamiento. Si el problema continúa, repórtalo en la sección de Issues.
He visto una traducción incorrecta, o falta mi idioma. Todo feedback es bienvenido: deja un comentario o abre un issue con el mensaje original y la traducción esperada.
