GearMatic is a gear upgrade and best-in-slot addon for Retail and every Classic version. It scores every item you see (tooltips, quest rewards, loot rolls, your bags) against what you have equipped and marks it with a clear +12% upgrade or -3% downgrade, using per-spec stat weights, caps, and breakpoints from the Icy Veins class guides for every class, spec, and role, healers and tanks included. You are scored the moment you log in, no setup required.

Note: bag icons may not show with some bag addons installed. GearMatic's own bag window is in the works so you will not need one.

Prefer your own weights? Paste Pawn-format strings from WoWSims or Raidbots into /gm import, or pull every scale from the Pawn addon with one option.

The Gear Map

Type /gm gear for a ranked window of every upgrade waiting for you across dungeons and raids, biggest jump first, with slot, drop location, drop chance, and auction buyout on BoE pieces. While leveling it looks ahead and tags gear with the level you can equip it at.

Best in Slot

The Icy Veins BiS list ships built in for every spec. A skull marks the true BiS piece even when its raw stats look lower, in your bags, on your character sheet, on loot rolls, and on Great Vault choices, each with its honest percent.

Simulated Procs, Trinkets, and Set Bonuses

Equip effects carry real value, not just raw stats. Procs, trinkets, and set bonuses are pre-simulated for your exact spec on every game version: damage procs for damage dealers, tank procs for tanks, healing and absorb procs for healers. An off-list trinket with a strong effect can honestly beat a listed one, famous legendaries and procs are covered, and older leveling gear has measured values too. When an effect cannot be measured reliably you get an estimate with a gray note, never an invented number.

Your Other Characters

Page through your alts on the character sheet: full gear, stats, durability bars, and the character in their actual transmog. Low durability triggers an alert with sound and a skull emote, and worn-down alts are flagged at login. One master toggle turns all alt suggestions off and on.
