AzerothWaypoint is a TomTom-powered navigation bridge, route planner, manual waypoint queue, and native 3D world overlay for World of Warcraft.

TomTom is the only required dependency. Zygor Guides Viewer is fully supported, but optional. AzerothWaypoint can also work with Azeroth Pilot Reloaded, WoWPro, FarstriderLib, Mapzeroth, Blizzard map and quest sources, imported TomTom waypoint lists, and supported external waypoint addons.

TomTom shows the arrow.
AzerothWaypoint controls the route flow.
Optional integrations provide richer route planning and guide data.

What's New in 4.1.0

Native Minimap Button

AWP now includes its own native minimap button.

  • Left-click opens the AWP quick menu.
  • Right-click opens AWP settings.
  • Drag near the minimap to snap around the edge.
  • Drag away from the minimap to place it freely.

The quick menu can open settings, help, the queue, Tracker Viewer controls, Zygor controls, and minimap button management. AWP also registers a Blizzard addon compartment entry, so the same quick menu remains available if you hide the minimap button.

Queue Access Improvements

The minimap button's Open Queue action and /awp queue now force the quest-log side panel open for that one interaction, so the AWP queue tab is visible even if your world map normally opens with the quest log hidden.

This does not change your saved map settings.

Flight Map Assist

When your active AWP route uses a flight path, AWP can mark the intended destination on the retail flight map.

  • Exact Zygor/LibRover taxi destinations can match by Blizzard taxi node ID.
  • Mapzeroth and Farstrider routes can use strong coordinate/name matches where visible flight-map data is clear enough.
  • The marker is visual-only and does not create routes or supertrack taxi nodes.
  • Optional Auto Take Flight Paths is disabled by default and pressing Alt suppresses it for the current flight-map interaction.
  • An optional AWP taxi list attaches to the flight map with the route destination at the top, plus favorites, recent flights, current-zone flights, search, and reachable destinations grouped by zone.
  • The taxi list can auto-attach to the side with available screen space, follow the flight map when it is moved, center against the visible map area, and resize for shorter lists.
  • The taxi list includes an adjustable destination text size option for readability.
  • If InFlight is installed, AWP can read its available flight-time data to show exact or estimated times in the taxi list.

Integrations Page

AWP options now include a bottom-tab Integrations page, with a matching in-game Help page. These pages explain supported addons, route backends, tracker addons, flight-map helpers, and Blizzard sources in normal user terms, including load status and buttons to copy the URL of the addons.

Zygor Tracker Viewer

AWP can now show your active Zygor guide inside the objective tracker instead of requiring Zygor's full native viewer to stay visible.

Tracker Viewer supports:

  • Blizzard's default Objective Tracker
  • Kaliel's Tracker
  • current guide title and step rows
  • previous, next, and skip controls
  • guide switching and guide picker access
  • Zygor menu and settings access
  • clickable confirm rows
  • active sticky steps grouped above the current step
  • long tip-block grouping so large guide steps do not overflow the tracker
  • square, rounded border, or hidden progress bar styles
  • contextual tracker text colors for common Zygor goal types
  • a no-guide-loaded row that opens Zygor's guide picker

Hide Zygor's Native Viewer

AWP can visually hide Zygor's full-size native viewer while keeping Zygor's guide engine, active guide state, waypoints, guide picker, menus, and settings available.

You can still control Zygor through:

  • the Tracker Viewer header
  • the AWP minimap button menu
  • the Blizzard addon compartment entry
  • macro-friendly /awp zygor commands

Useful Zygor control commands include:

/awp zygor next
/awp zygor prev
/awp zygor skip
/awp zygor picker
/awp zygor load <guide title> [step N]
/awp zygor list
/awp zygor switch <index>
/awp zygor close [current|index|all]
/awp zygor menu
/awp zygor settings
/awp zygor reset

Zygor Chat Step Display

AWP can show the current Zygor step in your chat frame on step change or on demand. This is local-only and does not send anything to say, party, raid, guild, or public channels.

Displayed step details can include:

  • guide title
  • current step number and percent
  • contextual or selected text colors
  • active sticky-step summaries
  • the current step objectives

Commands:

/awp zygor output
/awp zygor output full
/awp zygor output sticky

What It Does

AzerothWaypoint connects multiple waypoint sources into one controlled navigation flow.

It can route and present destinations from:

  • TomTom waypoints
  • guide steps from Zygor Guides Viewer, Azeroth Pilot Reloaded, and WoWPro
  • Blizzard map clicks, quest pins, POIs, supertracked quests, and tracked quests
  • imported /ttpaste waypoint batches
  • supported external waypoint addons like HandyNotes, SilverDragon, and RareScanner

The active destination can be shown through:

  • TomTom's arrow
  • AzerothWaypoint's native 3D world overlay
  • the waypoint queue UI
  • contextual icons, labels, colors, and travel action prompts

Key Features

TomTom Arrow Bridge

AzerothWaypoint uses TomTom as the main navigation arrow while managing the route source, backend, queue state, and presentation around it.

It can push guide targets, quest destinations, manual waypoints, imported queues, POIs, and supported addon-created waypoints into TomTom without every source fighting for control.

Selectable Routing Backends

Choose how AzerothWaypoint plans routes:

  • TomTom Direct - simple direct waypoint navigation
  • Farstrider - travel-aware routing through FarstriderLib
  • Mapzeroth - travel-aware routing through Mapzeroth
  • Zygor - LibRover routing when Zygor Guides Viewer is installed

Unavailable backends fall back safely.

Flight Map Assist

When a route includes a flight path, AzerothWaypoint can mark the intended destination on the retail flight map. Exact Zygor taxi destinations are matched by taxi node ID, and other route backends can use strict coordinate/name matches where available. The optional taxi list adds a searchable AWP side panel with the route destination, favorites, recent flights, current-zone flights, adjustable destination text size, and reachable destinations grouped by zone.

Guide Addon Support

AzerothWaypoint supports guide targets from:

  • Zygor Guides Viewer
  • Azeroth Pilot Reloaded
  • WoWPro

Guide destinations can appear in the queue and 3D overlay with titles, objective text, quest metadata, and contextual presentation where available.

Manual Waypoint Queues

Manual waypoints are no longer just throwaway points.

AzerothWaypoint supports persistent queues, imported /ttpaste queues, multi-destination flows, temporary addon routes, queue activation/deactivation, queue detail pages, bulk delete, and world map focus for final destinations.

Manual map clicks can be configured to:

  • create a new queue
  • replace the active queue
  • append to the current queue
  • ask each time

Blizzard Quest and Map Takeovers

AzerothWaypoint can adopt supported Blizzard navigation sources, including:

  • user waypoints
  • quest POIs
  • supertracked quests
  • tracked quests
  • area POIs
  • vignettes
  • taxi nodes
  • gossip POIs
  • dig sites
  • housing plots

Quest-backed destinations can use quest-aware titles, icons, progress text, and clearing behavior when Blizzard exposes the needed data.

Native 3D World Overlay

AzerothWaypoint includes its own 3D world overlay and does not require WaypointUI.

Overlay modes include:

  • Waypoint - long-range destination marker
  • Pinpoint - close-range plaque and arrival marker
  • Navigator - off-screen directional arrow

The overlay can show contextual icons, colors, quest states, travel states, guide provider labels, manual queue data, and source addon information.

External Addon Waypoint Sources

AzerothWaypoint can adopt waypoint-style destinations from supported external addons and route them through the active backend.

Current source-aware integrations include:

  • HandyNotes, including plugins such as MapNotes
  • SilverDragon
  • RareScanner
  • WorldQuestTab

Short-lived addon waypoints are handled as temporary transient routes, so they can take over navigation briefly without destroying persistent manual queues.

Combat Visibility

AWP can temporarily hide TomTom, the special travel button, the 3D world overlay, or all while you are in combat, then restore them afterward.

Arrow Skins and Travel Actions

AzerothWaypoint includes a TomTom arrow skin system with built-in AWP, modern, faction-themed, and Zygor-compatible skins.

For travel routes that require a spell, item, toy, hearthstone, portal, or similar action, AzerothWaypoint can show a secure special travel button.

In-Game Help

AWP includes in-game help and release notes:

/awp help
/awp changelog

The help frame includes a page dropdown, screenshots, current feature coverage, an Integrations page, and selectable/copyable help text.

Recent 4.0.x Highlights

If you have not checked AWP since the earlier 4.0 releases, these were also added recently:

  • HandyNotes support, including plugins such as MapNotes and HandyNotes_TheWarWithin.
  • WorldQuestTab adoption for world quest and bonus objective clicks.
  • Zygor WhoWhere search results can become AWP routes.
  • SilverDragon, RareScanner, HandyNotes, and similar short-lived waypoint sources are handled as transient routes.
  • Hide During Combat for TomTom, the special travel button, and the world overlay.
  • Expanded in-game help pages and release notes.
  • Better long-distance intermediate navigation handling when Blizzard cannot reliably supertrack a far-away destination directly.

Upgrading from ZygorWaypoint

AzerothWaypoint is the new name and direction for the addon.

Old ZygorWaypoint settings are not migrated. This was intentional for the v4 rename and development reset.

If you still have the old addon folder installed, remove or disable it:

World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/ZygorWaypoint/

Use the new folder instead:

World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/AzerothWaypoint/

Notes

  • TomTom is required.
  • Zygor is optional.
  • Farstrider and Mapzeroth require their own data/addons to be installed and loaded.
  • Some Blizzard quest/objective data may not be available immediately after login or right after a quest state changes.
  • The 3D overlay's dynamic text sizing is limited by Blizzard font behavior and may not animate perfectly smoothly.

Support

AzerothWaypoint is created and maintained by MorningStarGG.

If you run into an issue, useful reports include:

  • what you clicked or routed
  • which guide addon was active
  • current routing backend
  • /awp status
  • whether Tracker Viewer or Zygor native viewer hiding was enabled, if the issue involves Zygor display
  • /awp waytype
  • /awp stepdebug when guide routing is involved
  • any Lua error stack
