ZoidsTools

ZoidsTools is a modular quality-of-life toolkit for World of Warcraft Retail. It combines character progression tracking, Mythic+ tools, talent recommendations, combat utilities, interface improvements, automation, and everyday conveniences in one configurable addon.

Most features can be enabled independently through a polished, searchable settings window.

Feature Highlights

Warband Weekly

Keep an account-wide overview of your characters after logging into each of them.

• Track equipped item level, Mythic+ rating, weekly best run, owned keystone, and Great Vault progress.
• Review current-expansion dungeon and raid saves.
• See when each character was last updated.
• Automatically expire weekly information after reset until the character logs in again.

Profession Weekly

Track Midnight profession Knowledge without relying on macros or hidden currency commands.

• Monitor trainer quests, treatises, weekly treasures, gathering drops, and disenchanting Knowledge.
• Track profession-specific catch-up backlogs and where that Knowledge comes from.
• Follow permanent profession treasures, Knowledge books, and monthly Darkmoon Faire quests.
• Display Darkmoon Faire availability and the appropriate Stormwind or Thunder Bluff entrance.
• Use an optional movable tracker with selectable goals and plain-language mouseover explanations.

Mythic+, Lockouts, and Group Tools

Expand Blizzard’s Dungeons & Raids window with useful Mythic+ and saved-instance information.

• View every seasonal Mythic+ dungeon with weekly best, season best, base-Mythic lockout, and reset information.
• Sort dungeons by weekly or seasonal completion level.
• Click a dungeon to open Premade Groups and search specifically for it.
• Review current-expansion raids and optionally expand older dungeon and raid saves.
• Display your current Mythic+ rating.
• Remember incoming Mythic+ invitations and provide one-click teleporting when the appropriate portal is known.

Damage Meters

Use compact custom meters powered by Blizzard’s built-in combat data.

• Track damage, healing, absorbs, interrupts, dispels, deaths, avoidable damage, and other combat statistics.
• Switch between current, overall, and recent combat segments.
• Open player, source, and ability breakdowns.
• Configure two independent meter windows.
• Move, resize, snap, and save named account-wide meter layouts.
• Choose between ZoidsTools meters and Blizzard’s native damage meters.

Talents and Rotation References

Add recommendation tools directly to Blizzard’s Talents window.

• Browse Mythic+, PTR Mythic+, dungeon, raid, and PvP recommendations sourced from Archon, Icy Veins, Wowhead, and Murlok.io.
• Highlight selected, missing, and changed talents.
• Apply supported builds through Blizzard’s loadout system.
• Switch specializations directly from the Talents page using class specialization icons.
• Open a sourced, static rotation or opening-sequence reference when available.
• Match rotation information to the selected specialization, Hero Talent tree, and content type.

Rotation information is reference material only. It does not make combat decisions or provide live rotation assistance.

Character and Item Information

Add useful equipment and stat information throughout Blizzard’s character and inventory interfaces.

• Display item levels, gems, sockets, enchants, bind types, and recommended stat comparisons.
• Support character equipment, bags, banks, reagent banks, and the Warband bank.
• Compare your secondary stats against Mythic+, Raid, and PvP goals.
• Open a collapsible Stat Goals panel beside the character window.
• Enhance player tooltips with optional class-colored names, Mythic+ rating, and equipped item level.

Combat and Action Bars

Customize action-bar information and add lightweight combat awareness tools.

• Customize keybind text, shortening, size, color, boldness, and outlines.
• Cast abilities on key-down and optionally tint full buttons when out of range.
• Control the expansion direction of skill flyouts globally or per selected flyout.
• Display movable combat notifications and persistent group-buff warnings.
• Safely cast available missing buffs or announce buffs another group member must provide.
• Customize unit-frame health colors, castbar sizes, and target or focus aura visibility.

Chat

Improve Blizzard chat without replacing it.

• Search and copy chat messages, web addresses, and Discord links.

Smart Mounts and Hearthstones

Use context-aware travel tools and customizable utility keybinds.

• Select suitable flying, ground, water, repair, auction-house, and ride-along mounts.
• Support class travel abilities, Dracthyr Soar, and fall-safety spells.
• Avoid recently summoned mounts or match another player’s mount.
• Create a customizable random Hearthstone macro using your selected appearances.
• Automatically maintain health and mana consumable macros.

Automation and Profession Actions

Reduce repetitive clicks while keeping risky actions under your control.

• Fast loot, automatic repairs, grey-item selling, and known-recipe merchant indicators.
• Quest acceptance, turn-in, and simple gossip automation with configurable exclusions.
• A movable smart quest-item button that prioritizes nearby and tracked quests.
• Modifier-click disenchanting, milling, prospecting, and lockbox actions.
• Optional confirmations for crafting-order reagents, enchant replacement, socket replacement, purchases, and selected loot-roll dialogs.
• Never automatically confirm equipping, using, or otherwise binding an item.

Interface Improvements

Customize Blizzard’s interface while preserving its familiar layout.

• Square minimap styling, compact zone and clock header, mouseover buttons, and addon-button collection.
• Move and scale supported Blizzard windows, bags, banks, and the position-only World Map.
• Customize Blizzard’s Objective Tracker background, border, opacity, and minimized appearance.
• Display movable FPS, latency, and coordinate widgets.
• Add background-capable queue alerts, queue countdowns, and optional safe-queue behavior.
• Replace the large Talking Head window with movable, click-through subtitles.
• Keep WoW synchronized with the current default audio device.
• Skip cinematic confirmations with Escape or optionally skip cinematics automatically.

Diagnostics

Built-in diagnostic tools help investigate addon activity, frame hitches, talent application, and Blizzard chat behavior. Optional module failures are isolated so one feature does not prevent the rest of ZoidsTools from loading.
