What it does
WoW Fish Counter is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that automatically tracks your fishing loot and displays your catch statistics in a clean, simple window — now updated for Retail 12.0 (Midnight) and all Classic clients up to Mists of Pandaria Classic.
No setup required! Just start fishing, and the counter will appear and begin tracking your loot — even if you’re using fast-loot addons.
Features
- Automatic Tracking – Tracks all items caught while fishing and displays their name, total count, and catch percentage.
- Rare Fish Sound Alert – Plays an audible alert when you catch a Rare (blue) or Epic (purple) quality item so you never miss a great catch.
Dual Display Modes –
- Session Mode: Tracks catches during your current fishing session. Resets automatically when you change zones.
- History Mode: Shows a combined global history of every item you’ve ever caught with the addon across all zones and sessions.
Fast-Loot Compatible – Works with addons that instantly loot items without missing catches.
Cross-Version Support – Works on Retail 11.2, Classic Era, Cataclysm Classic, and Mists of Pandaria Classic via separate TOC files.
Clean, Movable UI – Draggable frame that fits WoW’s default look. Now auto-resizes to fit its content (no more text clipping).
Lightweight & Unobtrusive – Minimal performance impact.
Slash Commands
/fc or /fishcounter – Opens the help/options list./fc reset – Resets the current session./fc mode – Toggles between Session and History mode./fc hide or /fc exit – Hides the addon window./fc sound on/off – Toggles audible alert for rare catches.
Installation

Download and extract the ZIP file.
