Excerpt from the author's description on CurseForge
WhisperAlert is a lightweight, standalone World of Warcraft addon that plays a sound notification whenever you receive a whisper, including Battle.net messages.
Designed to be minimal and efficient, it works even when in-game sound is disabled by temporarily enabling audio to ensure you never miss an important message. The addon has no external dependencies and focuses on doing one thing well: alerting you instantly when someone whispers you.
