WarBoard

War Board is a World PvP addon built to bring faction conflict back into the open world.

The goal is simple: give players a reason to go back into zones that are usually forgotten, complete objectives, draw enemy attention, respond to battlefield reports, place bounties, and push their faction toward victory.

War Board is inspired by the old-school feeling of WPvP: doing quests or dailies out in the world, running into the opposite faction, and watching a small fight turn into something bigger as both sides call for help.

One player starts an objective.
An enemy player shows up to stop them.
A few allies reinforce.
Then suddenly the zone has a fight.

That's what War Board is built around. Every battle matters. Earn Gold and War Credit by completing objectives, eliminating enemy players, disrupting hostile operations, claiming bounties, and participating in campaign activities. Rise through your faction’s ranks, build your reputation, and become an increasingly valuable target for enemy bounty hunters.

Campaigns

War Board campaigns are faction-wide conflicts that determine which side is winning the ongoing war effort. Campaigns begin every Monday and Friday, rotating the battlefield and giving both factions a fresh chance to push for victory. Throughout each campaign, Horde and Alliance compete to earn War Credit for their faction. When the campaign ends, results are finalized, victories are recorded, and a new campaign begins.

Campaigns are designed to make your actions feel like part of something larger. Whether you are completing objectives, hunting players, claiming bounties, or responding to alerts, your contribution helps move your faction closer to victory.

Objectives

War Board adds repeatable World PvP objectives across Azeroth. These objectives send players into active War Board areas to:

Kill enemy players, eliminate faction NPCs, disrupt hostile operations, complete special assignments, respond to faction activity, and push campaign progress. 

Objectives reward both Gold and War Credit.

Gold is War Board’s addon currency and can be spent to place bounties on enemy players. This is not real WoW gold.

War Credit represents your contribution to the war effort. War Credit advances your faction rank, contributes to your faction’s campaign progress, and helps determine the outcome of each campaign.

War Board objectives are meant to create sparks. Some encounters may start as small skirmishes, but if both factions keep responding, they can quickly grow into larger fights.

Bounties

Some players make a name for themselves. War Board allows players to place bounties on enemy players, accept contracts, and hunt down high value targets for rewards. Successful bounty hunters earn both Gold and War credit, while notorious players may find themselves becoming the hunted. The more active and accomplished a player becomes, the more valuable they are as a bounty target.

Faction Ranks

Earn War Credit and rise through your faction’s ranks as you contribute to the war effort. Inspired by the original Classic PvP ranking system, War Board’s faction ranks serve as a measure of your battlefield service and dedication to your faction.

As your rank increases, so does your reputation. Higher-ranked players become more recognizable, more accomplished, and more valuable to enemy bounty hunters.

Whether you are a newly enlisted recruit or a decorated champion of your faction, every contribution helps advance both your standing and your faction’s campaign.

Intelligence Feed

Information can be just as valuable as force. War Board gathers battlefield intelligence from active objective locations across Azeroth. These alerts help players locate enemy activity, reinforce allies, intercept hostile players, and respond to threats before they escalate. Alerts can reveal:

Enemy activity in War Board areas, ongoing battles, emerging hotspots, shard activity, objective pressure, and faction presence. Whether you are searching for combat or defending your faction's interests, the intelligence feed can help point you toward the action.

Shard Matcher

War Board includes a Shard Matcher system to help players find active World PvP shards. When both factions are detected in the same War Board area on the same shard, War Board can list that shard as a match. Players can use this information to find where the fighting is happening and contact same-faction players for invites.

This helps reduce some of the frustration caused by modern sharding by making active conflict easier to locate.

Campaign History & Leaderboards

Every battle, bounty, and contribution becomes part of a larger story. War Board tracks campaign outcomes, faction victories, and battlefield records through the Campaign History. Players can also view leaderboards for top contributors, bounty hunters, and combatants, comparing their accomplishments against other members of their faction.

Every campaign leaves its mark.

Anti Cheat & Abuse Prevention

War Board also features an anti cheat and abuse prevention system designed to address some of the frustrating issues Blizzard hasn't fully fixed in War Mode and WPvP.

The system helps detect and punish players who abuse public bugs or unintended mechanics to avoid dying, escape bounty hunters, or deny legitimate World PvP kills. This includes things like suspicious port-outs, combat escape abuse, and other behavior meant to avoid consequences after engaging in WPvP.

War Board is built around the idea that fights should matter. If a player chooses to engage, place themselves in danger, or become a bounty target, they should not be able to easily abuse broken mechanics to erase the risk.

Anti-cheat records are used to help verify activity, protect the bounty system, and keep War Board’s progression as fair as possible.
