SIMPLEPARTYTARGETS

SimplePartyTargets is a lightweight, Blizzard-style addon that shows each
party member’s current target directly under or beside the default Blizzard
party frames (party-only), or your Danders Frames (with option to show when solo.

The goal is simple:
- Improve party awareness at a glance.
- Preserve Blizzard’s default UI look and behavior.
- Avoid unitframe replacements, automation, or heavy hooks.
- Stay conservative to reduce taint and patch breakage.

If you like Blizzard’s party frames but want clearer target information,
SimplePartyTargets adds it without getting in the way.

FEATURES

• Party-only target blocks
  - Displays each party member’s current target.
  - Party-only by design (no raid frames).

• Optional block for your own target
  - Toggleable if you want your own target shown in the same style.

• Flexible placement
  - Supports Blizzard Classic Portrait and Raid-Style party frames. 
  - Blocks can appear under or beside party frames.
  - Automatic left/right flipping with optional overrides.

• Clear, readable visuals
  - Font-selector.
  - Adjustable font size.
  - Adjustable block opacity, height, and width.
  - Optional border (thin or thick).
  - Class / reaction colors or neutral grey.
  - Optional block shadow.

• Long-name handling
  - Optional two-line wrapping for long NPC names.

• Raid marker support
  - Raid markers are shown on target blocks when available.
  - Marker handling is designed to be safe under modern Blizzard restrictions.

• Minimap & Titan Panel support
  - Optional minimap button.
  - Titan Panel / LibDataBroker launcher support.
  - Left-click to open options.
  - Right-click context menu.

• Version awareness (optional)
  - Peer-to-peer version detection when joining a party.
  - Optional chat notice if a newer version is detected.
  - No online checks or external services.

• Edit Mode preview
  - Preview target blocks while adjusting Blizzard’s Edit Mode layout
   (Not supported while using Danders Frames).

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
--------------------------------------------------

SimplePartyTargets is intentionally conservative.

• No unitframe replacements.
• No combat automation.
• No secure action manipulation.
• No invasive hooks or fragile tricks.
• No heavy polling.

All visuals are layered on top of Blizzard’s existing UI and respect
combat lockdown rules.

The focus is on:
- Stability.
- Predictability.
- Forward compatibility.

When Blizzard restricts access to certain data, the addon is designed
to fail gracefully rather than cause errors or taint.

• Updated and compatible with Retail 12.0 (Midnight) and onwards.

- Blizzard’s UI is solid — it just benefits from a small, careful enhancement.

SimplePartyTargets adds clarity without turning your UI into a science project.

COMMANDS

/spt           - Show available commands.
/spt help      - Same as /spt.
/spt options   - Toggle the options window.
/spt settings  - Same as /spt options.
/spt reset     - Reset the position of the options-window.

INSTALLATION
--------------------------------------------------

1. Extract the SimplePartyTargets folder into:
   World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/

2. Enable the addon at the character selection screen.

That’s it.

CREDITS

The idea for this addon was inspired by the clean target indicators found in
ElvUI.

No ElvUI code is used in this addon.
SimplePartyTargets is written independently using Blizzard’s UI APIs.
