What it does
Raid Frame Auras adds clean, customizable buff and debuff overlays to the default Blizzard player, party and raid frames.
Designed for players who want better aura visibility without replacing the Blizzard raid frames, this addon helps healers, raid leaders and Mythic+ players track important buffs, debuffs, defensives, dispellable effects and crowd control directly on their group frames.
Why use Raid Frame Auras?
Blizzard raid frames are lightweight and familiar, but aura visibility can be limited. Raid Frame Auras gives you more control over what appears, where it appears, and how it looks.
Use it to highlight important information at a glance while keeping the default WoW UI style.

Built for Blizzard raid frames
Raid Frame Auras is designed for the default Blizzard compact raid frames.
It can hide Blizzard’s default raid-frame buffs and debuffs while its own overlays are enabled, giving you a cleaner and more customizable layout.
Third-party raid frame addons are not the target of this release.

Blizzard Aura CVars ⚠️
Raid Frame Auras includes an option to hide Blizzard’s default raid-frame buffs and debuffs so they do not overlap with the addon’s custom overlays.
This option changes Blizzard’s persistent raid-frame aura CVars:
raidFramesDisplayBuffsraidFramesDisplayDebuffs
When enabled, both values are set to 0, which hides Blizzard’s built-in raid-frame aura icons.
Because these are Blizzard settings, they remain changed even if the addon is disabled or removed. To show Blizzard’s default raid-frame auras again, open /rfa and click Restore Blizzard defaults in the Blizzard Aura CVars section.
You can also restore them manually with these chat commands:
