PetAlert automatically detects your class and specialization and warns you when the required combat pet is not active.

**Warlock - Demonology**

Requires an active pet

**Mage - Frost**  
Requires Water Elemental support when available

🚨 **Missing Pet Alert**

PetAlert warns you if:

- you enter combat without your required pet
- your pet dies during combat
- your pet is dismissed
- you have the wrong pet summoned
- you switch to a monitored specialization without the pet active

The alert disappears automatically when the correct pet is alive again.

💛 **Low HP Alert**

PetAlert also warns you visually when your pet is in danger.

- configurable HP threshold, default 25%
- active only when the expected pet is alive
- uses modern WoW-safe visibility handling for protected health values
- disappears automatically when the pet recovers

Note: on modern clients where pet health values are protected by Blizzard, Low HP is kept visual-only to avoid Lua errors and false-positive sounds.

- enable minimal icon-only mode
- choose a custom alert icon
- enable and configure the pet health bar
- preview alerts in real time
- use visual presets
- show or hide the minimap shortcut
- configure audio alerts where supported
