What it does
A modern rewrite of the original oUF Banaak layout for WoW Retail. Compact unit frames, liquid health digits, old-school visual identity, updated for the current WoW API.
Required dependency: oUF Please install and enable oUF before using this addon.
Beta Notice
oUF Banaak 2026 is currently in beta. Some visual issues or Lua errors may still happen while the addon is being tested across classes, specs, and UI setups.
I am fixing reported issues as quickly as possible. When reporting a problem, please include:
- the full first Lua error after
/reload - your class and spec
- what frame or option was involved
- whether
oUFis installed and enabled

About
oUF Banaak continues the visual style of the original oUF Banaak layout while rebuilding the codebase for modern World of Warcraft.
The goal is to preserve the recognizable compact design, especially the large liquid health percentage, while making the addon easier to maintain for current and future WoW versions.

This project follows the spirit of the original work inspired by oUF_Hank. The 2026 version is a modern rewrite and is not the old monolithic addon.

In-Game Options
A simple options panel is available with:
/bkThe panel is also available from the Blizzard AddOns options and the addon compartment button.
The panel currently includes:
- Global frame scale
- Text scale
- Built-in class resources toggle
- Separate Player and Target pages
- Unit-frame scale per page
- Name, value, health digit, raid icon and aura visibility toggles
- Buff/debuff count, size and spacing controls
- Move, Lock and Reset buttons for movable frames
- Reload and Diagnostic buttons
Most visible settings apply immediately outside combat. A few structural oUF changes can still require /reload, especially when enabling elements that did not exist at login.
Class Resources
oUF Banaak includes lightweight built-in class resources for players who want the classic integrated look.
They are disabled by default so the addon can work cleanly alongside dedicated class resource addons.
You can enable or disable them from the in-game options panel.
Supported built-in resources include:
- Death Knight runes
- Paladin Holy Power
- Monk class resource
- Evoker Essence
- Warlock Soul Shards
- Rogue and Druid combo points
- Shaman totems
- Additional mana display for relevant classes
For advanced class resource tracking, I recommend using Sensei Class Resource Bar alongside oUF Banaak 2026.
Commands
/bkOpen the options panel.
/bk statusPrint a quick diagnostic in chat.
/bk positionsPrint saved frame positions.
Older commands such as /bk unlock, /bk lock, /bk reset, /bk scale, /bk fontscale and /bk resources now redirect users to the options panel.
The addon is moving toward a menu-first configuration flow.
Configuration
Basic settings are available in game through /bk.
Advanced configuration can still be done through the addon configuration files.
You can configure:
- Frame positions
- Frame scale
- Font scale
- Colors
- Fonts
- Aura behavior
- Range fading
- Threat display
- Castbar options
- Built-in class resources
Important Notes
- oUF is required and must be installed separately.
- This addon does not include party or raid frames.
- Built-in class resources are optional and disabled by default.
- The addon is designed for WoW Retail.
- Some settings require
/reload.
