marvolo QoL

marvolo QoL is a small World of Warcraft addon focused on simple, lightweight quality-of-life improvements that stay close to Blizzard's default UI.

Current Features

Item Upgrade Arrows

marvolo QoL can show a green arrow on items in your bags when they may be an item-level upgrade.

The comparison is intentionally simple:

• The item must match the same equipment slot/type as your currently equipped item.
• The item must have a higher item level than the currently equipped item.

The same green upgrade marker also appears inside the Blizzard Equipment Flyout, for example when you hold the modifier key over a character equipment slot to view alternative items.

This feature does not use stat weights, simulations, Pawn-style scoring, specialization logic, or automatic equipment changes.

Cursor Tooltip

marvolo QoL can move the standard Blizzard GameTooltip to your mouse cursor.

Tooltip options include:

• Enable or disable tooltip-at-cursor behavior.
• Adjust the tooltip X and Y offset from the cursor.
• Reset each offset back to 0.
• Enter exact offset values manually.
• Hide the main tooltip while in combat.

DataTexts

marvolo QoL includes a compact draggable DataText panel for quick character and system information.

Available DataTexts:

• Equipped item level
• Repair status
• FPS
• Local/Home ping
• Local time
• Loot specialization

The DataText panel can be customized from the Blizzard options menu:

• Choose which values are shown.
• Change text color.
• Change background color and opacity, including fully transparent.
• Adjust font size.
• Lock or unlock movement.

DataText mouse actions:

• Left-click item level to open the character panel.
• Left-click loot specialization to change loot spec.
• Drag with left mouse while unlocked to move the panel.
• Right-click to lock or unlock the panel.
• Shift-right-click to open marvolo QoL options.

Localization

The options panel supports German and English text based on your game client language.

How To Use

Open the standard Blizzard options menu:

Esc -> Options -> AddOns -> marvolo QoL

From there you can enable or disable the green upgrade arrows, configure cursor tooltip behavior, and customize the DataText panel.
