About this addon

What it does

GODMODE Nameplates

Formerly Plater MobHealth

Plater MobHealth has been renamed to GODMODE Nameplates.

This is the same addon and the continuation of the existing Plater MobHealth project, now under its new GODMODE identity.

The project has not been abandoned or replaced. Existing features, development, updates, and support continue as GODMODE Nameplates.

Advanced Nameplates • Threat • Castbars • Damage Meter • CC • Auras • Combat Tools

GODMODE Nameplates, formerly Plater MobHealth, is a complete combat nameplate and combat-information addon for Classic Era, Hardcore, Season of Discovery, TBC Classic Anniversary, MoP Classic, and Midnight.

It has grown far beyond a simple mob-health addon.

GODMODE Nameplates combines multiple nameplate styles, health information, threat and aggro tracking, castbars, target highlighting, crowd-control tracking, aura information, combat hints, damage statistics, combat timing tools, arena features, and performance controls into one integrated package.

Instead of stacking many separate addons around your nameplates, GODMODE Nameplates puts the information you need directly around the units you're fighting.

⚔️ Advanced Nameplate System

GODMODE Nameplates includes extensive support for enemy mobs, enemy players, friendly players, attackable NPCs, neutral units, bosses, elites, questing targets, dungeon mobs, raid encounters, and PvP targets.

Features include:

  • Custom enemy and player nameplates
  • Health values and percentages
  • Player class colors
  • Friendly, neutral, and hostile NPC coloring
  • Aggro and threat-based health-bar coloring
  • Threat percentages and indicators
  • Target highlighting
  • Execute-range indicators
  • Player and NPC identification
  • Level information
  • Combo-point support
  • Target-of-target information
  • Dynamic combat information around the plate
  • Multiple plate layouts and visual styles
  • Automatic handling for different unit types
  • Large-pull performance protection

The goal is simple: show more information on units that matter without turning every NPC on your screen into unnecessary UI clutter.

🎨 Three Nameplate Styles

GODMODE Nameplates includes three major styles:

GODMODE — The primary modern GODMODE interface with clear combat information and strong visual feedback.

OLD GUY — A more traditional World of Warcraft-inspired nameplate style.

OLD GUY UPGRADED — Keeps the familiar OLD GUY appearance while adding modern GODMODE combat functionality.

This allows players to choose between a modern interface and a more traditional WoW appearance without giving up the addon’s combat systems.

🔥 Threat & Aggro Awareness

Threat information is built directly into the nameplates.

  • Immediate aggro feedback
  • Tank-friendly threat visualization
  • Threat percentage support
  • Clear aggro changes
  • Different visual states when a mob is attacking you or another player
  • Consistent threat behavior across GODMODE nameplate styles
  • Designed for tanks, DPS, healers, dungeons and raids

You shouldn't need to look at another window just to know which mob is about to leave you and attack somebody else.

✨ Integrated Castbars

Enemy casting information is displayed directly where you're already looking.

  • Spell names
  • Spell icons
  • Cast timers
  • Cast progress
  • Interrupt awareness
  • Nameplate-integrated casting information
  • Combat-focused presentation

Cast information remains connected visually to the unit performing the cast.

🧠 Combat Hints & Intelligence

GODMODE Nameplates can provide additional information about what enemies are doing.

  • Combat hints
  • Important enemy ability information
  • Combat timing tools
  • Swing/timing information
  • Encounter-relevant information
  • Persistent useful combat information where supported

The intention is not to cover your screen in warnings — it is to put useful information next to the enemy responsible for it.

⏱️ Crowd Control, Debuffs & Auras

Important effects can be tracked directly around the nameplate.

  • Crowd-control tracking
  • Debuff timers
  • Player-applied aura tracking
  • Important combat-effect visibility
  • Cooldown information
  • Clear visual timers
  • Reduced unnecessary aura clutter

This makes it easier to see what is controlled, what is expiring, and what needs attention without constantly checking another part of the screen.

📊 Built-In Damage Meter

GODMODE Nameplates also includes an integrated lightweight combat meter.

  • Live damage tracking
  • DPS information
  • Current combat segments
  • Player contribution percentages
  • Scrollable player information
  • Integrated directly into the GODMODE combat UI

It is designed for players who want the important combat statistics without necessarily needing another large statistics addon running beside their nameplates.

⚔️ PvP & Arena Support

GODMODE Nameplates isn't only designed for PvE.

Depending on the WoW client, the addon includes support for PvP-oriented nameplate and arena information, including player identification, class coloring, CC/aura information, target awareness and combat visibility.

🚀 CPU & Large-Pull Performance Protection

Performance is a major part of GODMODE Nameplates development.

The addon includes systems designed to reduce unnecessary processing when many nameplates are visible:

  • Throttled nameplate updates
  • Reduced duplicate scanning
  • Event-driven processing where possible
  • Adaptive aura refresh rates
  • Large-pull protection
  • Massive-pull protection
  • Controlled castbar update rates
  • Idle guards for systems that aren't currently needed
  • Reduced background processing
  • Automatic reduction of expensive visual work under heavy combat loads

This is especially important in cities, large dungeon pulls, raids, battlegrounds and other situations where many units may exist simultaneously.

Performance work continues alongside new feature development.

⭐ From Plater MobHealth to GODMODE Nameplates

The project originally started as Plater MobHealth, with a much smaller goal: provide better mob-health information.

That changed dramatically as development continued.

The addon gained custom nameplates, multiple visual styles, castbars, threat systems, crowd-control tracking, aura information, combat hints, damage statistics, target information, performance systems and many other combat features.

The old name no longer represented what the addon had become.

So:

Plater MobHealth → GODMODE Nameplates

This is a branding and project-name change, not a replacement of the original addon.

If you previously used Plater MobHealth, GODMODE Nameplates is its continuation.

The core philosophy remains:

Show useful information when it matters and keep the UI clean when it doesn't.

Whether you're questing, leveling, tanking a dungeon, raiding, farming, or fighting other players, GODMODE Nameplates is designed to put important combat information directly where you're already looking.

🔧 Active Development

GODMODE Nameplates continues to receive:

  • New nameplate features
  • Additional combat tools
  • New and improved styles
  • CPU and performance optimizations
  • Large-pull optimizations
  • Bug fixes
  • UI improvements
  • Compatibility updates
  • Classic Era improvements
  • TBC Classic improvements
  • MoP Classic improvements
  • Midnight improvements
  • PvE and PvP improvements
  • Additional customization

Feedback, suggestions and bug reports are welcome.
