Do Not Release
DoNotRelease is a lightweight addon that helps prevent accidental spirit releases in dungeons and raids by adding a clear visual warning and an optional shift click check before releasing.
Features
• Displays a large animated “DO NOT RELEASE” warning when you are dead
• Active only in dungeons and raids (party / raid instances) • Optional Shift+Click requirement for the Release Spirit button
• Prevents accidental releases while still allowing intentional ones
• Fully customizable font size
• Customizable text color via in-game color picker
• Built-in test button to preview the overlay
Commands
/dnr on – Enable the addon
/dnr off – Disable the addon

• Tanks and healers who must not release early
• Anyone who has ever clicked “Release Spirit” by accident
Installation
- Download and unzip
- Place the DoNotRelease folder into:
World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/ - Reload the game or type
/reload
