About this addon

What it does

ArenaDR Nameplates is a lightweight World of Warcraft Midnight 12.1 PvP addon that shows Arena Diminishing Returns (DRs) on enemy nameplates and in optional Target and Focus DR bars.

See crowd control status where you are already looking. Track active DR categories, half-duration effects, immunity states, and enemy trinket cooldowns without constantly checking your arena frames.

ArenaDR can also display the diminishing returns applied to your own character with the optional My DRs personal tracker.

Key Features

  • Arena DR icons directly on enemy nameplates
  • Optional Target and Focus DR bars with separate positions and visibility
  • Optional My DRs tracker for crowd control applied to you
  • Optional enemy PvP trinket cooldown on nameplates
  • Clear half DR and immune states
  • Accurate countdown timers with optional decimals
  • Horizontal or vertical layouts with flexible growth and positioning
  • Blizzard and LibSharedMedia font support
  • Test mode with live previews before you enter an arena
  • Full setup export and import for easy profile sharing
  • Lightweight, arena-focused design for WoW Midnight

Target and Focus DR Bars

Track the Arena DRs of your current target and focus in two optional, movable bars.

  • Enable the Target and Focus bars separately
  • Place each bar anywhere on your screen
  • Keep tracking an arena opponent when their nameplate is temporarily unavailable
  • Adjust icon size, opacity, spacing, layout, growth direction, and borders
  • Use the same timer and DR text styling as your main ArenaDR setup

This is useful when you want important DR information near your arena frames, action bars, or crosshair while keeping nameplate tracking enabled.

Enemy Nameplate DR Tracking

During arena matches, ArenaDR mirrors Blizzard's native Arena DR information onto enemy nameplates. Each icon can show its remaining reset time, current DR stage, and immunity state.

You can customize:

  • Icon size, scale, opacity, and spacing
  • Fixed icon size or automatic nameplate scaling
  • Horizontal and vertical layouts
  • Growth direction and placement presets
  • Advanced anchor points and offsets
  • Timer text, decimal threshold, cooldown swipe, and edge effect
  • DR state text, colors, borders, and immunity indicators

My DRs - Personal Diminishing Returns Tracker

My DRs is a separate movable bar that shows the diminishing returns currently applied to your character.

Tracked by default:

  • Stun
  • Incapacitate
  • Disorient

Optional categories:

  • Root
  • Silence
  • Disarm

The tracker clearly displays half DR and immunity. You can enable it separately for Arena, Battlegrounds, and Open World or duels, then choose whether it follows your main timer and DR text settings or uses its own style.

Enemy PvP Trinket Tracker

Enable an optional enemy trinket icon on arena nameplates to follow PvP trinket cooldowns alongside DR information.

Choose whether the icon is always visible or only shown on cooldown, then customize its size, opacity, position, and border independently.

ArenaDR Nameplates includes dedicated support for:

  • Blizzard nameplates
  • BetterBlizzPlates

  1. Enable enemy nameplates and Blizzard arena frames.
  2. Type /arenadr or /adr to open the settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are diminishing returns in WoW Arena?

Diminishing returns make repeated crowd control from the same DR category shorter until the target becomes temporarily immune. ArenaDR makes the current stage and reset timer easier to see.

Is ArenaDR Nameplates only for Arena?

Enemy nameplate DRs, Target and Focus DR bars, and the enemy trinket tracker are designed for Arena. The optional My DRs tracker can also be enabled in Battlegrounds, Open World PvP, and duels.

Does ArenaDR work with Plater or ElvUI nameplates?

Yes. ArenaDR includes dedicated adapters for Plater, ElvUI, BetterBlizzPlates, EllesmereUI Nameplates, Platynator, Threat Plates, and Blizzard nameplates.

Does ArenaDR replace Blizzard arena frames?

No. ArenaDR uses Blizzard's native Arena DR information and displays clean copies on enemy nameplates or optional Target and Focus bars.
